Ever heard of the approach Designing your Life? This approached helped a lawyer to become a Managing Director of an impact company - she shares all her learnings with you in this week's newsletter.
I resembled your story! At 51, I gave up an 80-hour per week lucrative Silicon Valley consulting job in order to put some balance in my life -- physical, mental and social. I didn't have enough money for early retirement in California, and a series of synchronistic events led me to Ajijic, Mexico in 1996 where I've lived for 30 year, reinventing myself more than once. I now have balance, purpose, passion and a new community. I am also self-unemployed! I say hooray that you found your joy, too.
What a great story Karen - thank you so much for sharing that. You are a real inspiration to so many young people struggling to re-invetnt themselves around their thirties. Would love to share your story on our substack more prominently - would you be up for sharing it?
Sure. You’re talking about sharing on substack, yes? And hopefully, a link to mine? Let me know exactly what you want. Most of us are here to share our stories and life lessons. I’m so glad this hit home for you.
always interesting to read how others change path and how important it is to determine its own motivations and not what others expect from you ! congrats Antonia
